Social media giant META has been struck by a major global outage, leaving millions of users in limbo.
Instagram, Facebook and WhatsApp are all down, with mystery surrounding what sparked the outage.
META confirmed the glitch in a statement posted to X.
“We’re aware that a technical issue is impacting some users’ ability to access our apps,” the statement read.
“We’re working to get things back to normal as quickly as possible and apologise for any inconvenience.”
More than 150,000 complaints regarding the platforms have been made on Downdetector, a website that monitors online disruptions.
