Rideshare driver carjacked at knifepoint on Gold Coast

A manhunt is underway after a rideshare driver was carjacked at knifepoint in Miami.

The driver was called to a job on Marine Parade just after 1am on Wednesday when he was confronted by two males as he exited his vehicle.

The pair pulled out a knife, threatening him and demanding his 2009 Toyota Camry.

They then took off in the vehicle, hitting the man as they fled the scene, leaving him with scratches to his knees and elbows.

Police are appealing for anyone with information or dashcam from the area at the time to come forward.

Investigations are ongoing.
