A man and woman are facing drug and firearm offences after a raid on a unit in Surfers Paradise.
The raid was prompted after Queensland Police received intelligence about the pair from counterparts in New South Wales.
Officers located a 22-year-old woman outside the holiday unit yesterday where she was taken into custody.
A search warrant was then executed on the room they were staying in, finding a 30-year-old man inside.
Police allegedly located drugs, a modified air rifle, and live ammunition.
“People on drugs with guns without the proper permits, that’s always a fear for us so a good pick up by Police to get those two into custody,” Superintendent Peter Miles told the ABC.
The 30-year-old Spring Mountain man spent the night in custody and is due to front Southport Magistrates Court on Monday.
