A man has been rushed to hospital with potentially life-threatening injuries following a horror crash in Carrara.
The vehicle was travelling along Birmingham Road around 10.30pm on Thursday when it lost control and ploughed into a tree.
A Queensland Ambulance spokesperson said the man behind the wheel suffered “significant potentially life-threatening” chest injuries.
The man, aged in his 40s, was treated at the scene by paramedics before being taken to the Gold Coast University Hospital for further treatment.
Investigations into the crash are ongoing.
