An alleged drug driver has been ordered to front court after crashing into a pole in Biggera Waters.
A black Mercedes Benz was spotted by a member of the public driving at low speed around 10.50pm on Thursday night.
The vehicle then mounted a medium strip and hit a pole at the intersection of Arthur St and Babbidge Sts.
The 29-year-old male driver was taken to the Gold Coast University Hospital for treatment.
The Palm Beach man was later given a notice to appear for driving under the influence of a drug.
He will front Southport Magistrates Court on September 10.
