Six people have been charged with more than 200 offences following a brazen crime spree across South East Queensland over the past four months.
The group is accused of working together to target luxury vehicles and properties across the Gold Coast and Brisbane.
Detectives executed multiple search warrants at addresses in Logan Central, Slacks Creek, and Woodridge last month, where a significant amount of stolen property and vehicles were located.
Fortunately, they’ve now been returned to the victims.
The six males, aged between 16 and 21, will front court over the next couple of months on a string of charges including unlawful use of a motor vehicle and enter dwelling and commit.
Two of the men are facing a number of more serious charges, including serious assault of person over 60, assault police officer and possession of a knife in a public place after they were caught in the act during a robbery in Parkwood in May.
“On May 13, police were called to a break and enter at an address in Parkwood, where they located two men on the premises allegedly in possession of a knife and stolen items,” Queensland Police said.
“The pair allegedly tried to resist arrest, but officers managed to bring them into custody”.
One of the men will front Southport Magistrates Court on June 26, while the other will appear next month.
