Excitement is building as Queensland and New South Wales get ready to go head-to-head in tonight’s much-anticipated State of Origin opener.
Office rivalry will be well and truly alive across both states today as Maroons and Blues fans hype up for the Wednesday night battle.
Queensland Police have decided to join in on the fun, releasing an adorable video of two of their pooches in training getting into the Origin spirit ahead of tonight’s big game.
The vision shows NSW supporter Archie and Queensland die-hard Arlo predicting the outcome of the series opener, perhaps with a little coercion, but who’s judging!
“The 12-week-old German Sheppard puppies have already started their training to one day become working dogs with the Queensland Police Service,” police said.
“But they both love having a bit of fun along the way.
“Some of their favourite pastimes include crash tackling each other to the ground, chasing the footy, and they love their food… especially kibble that’s been served out of a Maroon dog bowl”.
