The Gold Coast has emerged as the clear leader for property sales within Queensland.
InfoTrack has released its latest Property Market update, which compiles the state’s buyer hotspots from January 1 to March 31 this year.
According to the data, it’s ranked Surfers Paradise as the clear number one in Queensland’s Top 10 list of the most popular suburbs for property sales.
Three other Gold Coast suburbs also made the list, including Southport at number three, Pimpama at number five, and Hope Island at number seven.
InfoTrack’s Head of Property Lee Bailie said he was not surprised to see the Gold Coast is one of Australia’s most sought-after locations.
“The Gold Coast is a lifestyle location like no other,” Mr Bailie said.
“Not only does it have famous beaches like Surfers Paradise, but it is a thriving urban hub with world class facilities, retail outlets, and it offers every amenity you would find in a major city”.
The report also found another coastal mecca – the Sunshine Coast – also proved popular with buyers, with Maroochydore coming in at number four on the list.
“Maroochydore has become a property hotspot after it was declared a priority development site by the Queensland Government,” Mr Bailie said.
“We have seen new apartments, a green open space, a lake, and commercial facilities all adding to its appeal.
“When we consider it’s just an hour’s drive north of Brisbane and only 10 minutes from Sunshine Coast airport, it’s easy to understand why buyers are looking to Maroochydore to purchase property”.
Surprisingly, no Brisbane suburbs were named in the top 10.
