Topgolf on the Gold Coast is finally reopening after being closed for almost two months.

The popular attraction sustained severe damage to its netting in the Christmas storm, forcing the business to close on Boxing Day.

Visitors will be welcomed back from 11.30am today.

Crews have worked tirelessly to fix critical infrastructure issues, including a full net replacement, as well as clean-up of the area and removal of large amounts of debris.

The bespoke netting used at Topgolf is manufactured in the United States, meaning it had to be made-to-order and shipped to the Gold Coast.

Village Roadshow CEO Bikash Randhawa says it’s been a long and tricky recovery operation.

“We went through 1000 linear metres of netting that had to be replaced, and approximately 2.5km of cabling that needed to be checked and repaired,” Mr Randhawa says.

“And of course, there was also some damage to the building. However, our team worked tirelessly from day one in sourcing specialised equipment and making sure that the venue was ready for people to come back and enjoy.”
