Billionaire tech bro Elon Musk says his start-up company Neuralink has effectively inserted a wireless brain chip into a human.
Musk shared on X (formerly Twitter) that the procedure yielded “promising” brain activity, and the patient is “recovering well”.
The first human received an implant from @Neuralink yesterday and is recovering well.
Initial results show promising neuron spike detection.

Neuralink aims to link human brains to computers for addressing neurological conditions and could extend to controlling devices such as phones for tasks like answering calls or streaming music simply by thinking.
Enables control of your phone or computer, and through them almost any device, just by thinking.
Initial users will be those who have lost the use of their limbs.
Imagine if Stephen Hawking could communicate faster than a speed typist or auctioneer. That is the goal.
