Queensland Fire and Emergency Services have identified 38 regions across the Sunshine State as ‘high risk’ this bushfire season.

The Gold Coast hinterland remains one of the biggest areas of concern for the South East, along with the local government areas of Somerset and Redland City.

However, fire officials have warned that the threat could stretch closer to the Coast if there’s a significant lack of rain.

It comes as a bushfire in Tallebudgera Valley burns for a third day.

An advice warning remains in place for the blaze, which is continuing to burn near Ryans Road.

The fire is expected to burn for several days, with nearby residents being urged to remain informed.

No properties are under threat.
