In support of local man and friend of the show, Richard Wells, Galey is spending 24-hours as a human ‘Wavey Man’ at Subaru in Southport!
Over the years Galey To The Rescue has raised hundreds of thousands of dollars for Gold Coasters in need.
And Richard Wells has joined us in support at every step, coming out in the middle of the night to help Galey and raising much needed funds.
Unfortunately in January 2023, during a seemingly ordinary Monday night after school pick up, Richard decided to go up on the roof and get a few things done, something any of us would have probably thought nothing of – however it resulted in him having a catastrophic fall off the roof.
Richard spent 50 days in ICU ( the average time in ICU is 3-5 days) and has been in hospital ever since.
We decided it’s our turn to give back to a man who has helped so many!
