Manhunt after shots fired on suburban Gold Coast street

A major manhunt is underway after shots were fired into a car along a normally quiet Gold Coast street.

Police were called to Cobalt Circuit in Coomera around 7.15pm on Monday following reports of a street disturbance.

Upon arrival, officers found several bullet holes in the side of a vehicle parked outside a home.

A 37-year-old man at the property managed to escape uninjured and is now assisting police with inquiries.

It’s understood two other people fled the scene before police arrived and remain at large.

Investigations are ongoing.
