A Gold Coast man has died in hospital following a horror rollover at Queensland Raceway on Friday night.
Shane Savage was critically injured after he was thrown from his vehicle when it rolled on a racetrack near Champions Way in Willowbank around 5.30pm on September 8.
The 41-year-old from Varsity Lakes was flown to the Princess Alexandra Hospital with serious head, chest and pelvic injuries.
Police confirmed in a statement on Tuesday morning that he has since sadly passed away from his injuries.
His passenger, a 35-year-old man, was also taken to hospital with chest, shoulder and pelvic injuries, but he is in a stable condition.
The Forensic Crash Unit is continuing to assist Workplace Health and Safety with investigations.
