A man has been rushed to hospital following an alleged domestic violence assault at Burleigh Heads.
The 53-year-old was allegedly attacked by a woman known to him in a parkland area at the corner of 2nd Avenue and the Esplanade around 6.00pm.
He suffered a number of puncture wounds and was treated at the scene by paramedics before being taken to the Gold Coast University Hospital in a serious but stable condition.
Police have confirmed investigations into the alleged assault are ongoing.
