Teenage boy charged with carrying a knife after alleged Gold Coast assault

A teenage boy has been charged over the assault of another boy on the northern Gold Coast.

The fight broke out on Lae Drive in Runaway Bay at around 7.30pm Friday night.

A 14-year-old suffered injuries to his chest and shoulder – with another 14-year-old boy charged over the attack.

He’s facing a grievous bodily harm charge as well as a possession of a knife offence.

The boy will front Southport Children’s Court at a later date.

The injured boy was taken to Gold Coast University Hospital in a stable condition.
