A man has been seriously injured in a horror crash in the Gold Coast hinterland this afternoon.
The vehicle lost control along Nerang Murwillumbah Road in Natural Bridge just after 4pm before slamming into a tree.
It sparked a major rescue operation, with emergency crews working to free the man who had become trapped in the wreckage.
He has suffered significant leg and pelvic injuries and is expected to be flown to hospital, with a rescue chopper tasked to the scene.
