A woman has been charged after allegedly slashing a man in the face with a kitchen knife.
Police were called to premises on Queen St in Southport around 7pm on Wednesday night following reports of an altercation.
A 42-year-old man had suffered a laceration to his face but declined medical treatment.
A 38-year-old Airlie Beach woman was arrested and has been charged with assault occasioning bodily harm.
She is due to front Southport Magistrates Court on Thursday.
Police say the pair was known to each other.
