Blind dog and car stolen during daylight break-in at Gold Coast home

A desperate search is underway for a blind dog that was stolen from a home on the Gold Coast in broad daylight.

Police believe a group of people broke into a home along Regatta Parade in Southport sometime between 10am and 1.15pm on Wednesday and stole several items.

They then got away in the resident’s grey 2022 Hyundai Tucson station wagon, bearing Queensland registration 021FO8, and took the dog with them.

Bowie is a blind, tri-coloured Australian Shepard with distinctive black, white and gold fur, and blue eyes.

Anyone who has seen him or the stolen vehicle is urged to immediately contact police.
