An investigation is underway after a ute crashed into a house on the northern Gold Coast in what appears to have been an accident.

The Volkswagen Amarok slammed into the home on Arrowsmith Crescent at Ormeau Hills just before midnight last night.

The owners of the property called police after waking to the commotion.

A Queensland Police spokesperson told myGC officers then contacted the owner of the vehicle, who advised they had “left the utility parked in street”.

“It appears the ute has then rolled down the street through a brick fence and into the house,” the spokesperson said.

Fortunately, no one was injured.
