A man’s been left fighting for his life in hospital after allegedly being coward-punched in Sanctuary Cove.
Police were called to a bar along Masthead Way around around 9.20pm on Saturday following reports of a man being punched.
The victim, a 39-year-old man, is believed to have hit his head on the pavement after being struck.
He was rushed to the Gold Coast University Hospital, where he remains in a critical condition in the Intensive Care Unit.
A major investigation is now underway.
Anyone who witnessed the incident or may have vision is being urged to contact police.
