A Gold Coast teen has died after a head-on collision in south east Queensland overnight.
Queensland Police say a ute and a sedan collided head on along Beaudesert Beenleigh Road in Birnam around 6.15pm on Sunday.
A 17-year-old boy from Ormeau, who was the driver and sole occupant of the ute, died at the scene.
A 17-year-old Palen Creek boy who was the only person in the sedan also died from his injuries.
Police have urged any witnesses or anyone with relevant CCTV or dashcam footage from the area at the time of the crash to come forward.
The Forensic Crash Unit is investigating.
