Police have launched a homicide investigation following the fatal stabbing of a man during an “altercation” in Ipswich.
Officers were called to a unit block on Mine Street , Redbank just before 10.30pm Saturday night to find the 63-year-old with several serious wounds.
He was rendered medical treatment but died at the scene a short time later.
A 28-year-old Boronia Heights man has been taken into custody and is now being questioned by police.
A crime scene has been established while officers work to determine the circumstances surrounding the altercation.
