The family of Aussie music legend John Farnham say he has fully recovered from a chest infection that saw him returned to hospital.
Fresh concerns were raised for Farnham’s health when he was hospitalised in late March.
The health scare came after a marathon operation to remove a cancerous tumour from his mouth last August.
In a statement, Farnham’s wife Jill and sons Rob and James say they’re pleased he has now recovered.
“He is now comfortable and continues to receive ongoing treatment and rehabilitation care.
“The family would like to re-iterate their appreciation and deepest respect for all the medical staff that have attended to John over the past eight months and the many thousands of kind messages that (have) been received from across Australia and the world.”
The update on Farnham’s health comes ahead of the premiere of the documentary John Farnham: Finding The Voice.
The documentary will look at the highs of lows of his extraordinary career.
It will be released in cinemas on May 18.
