A motorcyclist, critically injured in a crash on the Gold Coast has died in hospital.
A car and motorbike collided in the southbound lanes of the M1 at Molendinar around 12.30pm on Thursday.
The 51-year-old rider of the motorcycle was rushed to the Gold Coast University Hospital.
However, the man from Pimpama succumbed to his injuries.
Three occupants of the vehicle, a 20-year-old man, a 45-year-old man and a 67-year-old man were uninjured.
The Forensic Crash Unit is investigating the accident.
Police are appealing for witnesses or anyone with dashcam footage to contact them.
