A unit complex in Southport has been evacuated after a fire broke out in a unit.
Emergency services were called to the block on Lawson St just before 9pm on Wednesday night.
Residents fled the complex as smoke filled one of the apartments.
It’s believed the blaze may have started when a fridge caught alight.
The unit sustained water and smoke damage as a result.
No one was injured during the incident.
