Federal Treasurer Josh Frydenberg has become the latest politician to test positive to Covid-19.
He confirmed his positive status on social media overnight and says he’s isolating with his family.
Like thousands of Australians, I tested positive today to COVID-19.
I have the common symptoms and am isolating with my family.
My thoughts are with all those who have COVID – this is a difficult time but we will get through this.

The Treasurer is understood to be staying at his holiday home on the Surf Coast with his family and his wife has also tested positive.
It’s not clear which variant the pair have.
Well wishes have been pouring out on social media overnight.
