Australians are being urged to dig deep and donate for a huge telethon event raising money for flood ravaged communities.
Major TV networks Nine, Seven and 10 are jointly presenting a live concert tonight, with all proceeds to go to the Australian Red Cross.
It gets underway on all channels from 7.30 pm, as well as streaming services 9Now, 7Plus and 10 Play.
Tones And I, Jimmy Barnes, Delta Goodrem, Jon Stevens, Missy Higdgins, Jessica Mauboy, Vanessa Amorosi, Hunters and Collectors, Kate Miller-Heidke, The Living End, Casey Donovan and Sheppard are amongst the star-studded line-up of performances.
While, Channel 9’s Scott Cam, Sylvia Jeffreys, Andy Lee and Peter Overton, Channel 7’s Natalie Barr, David Koch, Sonia Kruger and Mark Ferguson and 10’s Carrie Bickmore, Dr. Chris Brown, Amanda Keller and Osher Günsberg will be the hosts.
Donations to the telethon will help Red Cross teams provide humanitarian support to people and communities smashed by the floods.
The money will specifically help those who’ve lost loved ones to pay for the funerals and other costs, while cash support will be given to people who’ve lost their homes.
