Emergency and SES workers are being offered a free McDonald’s McCafé coffee or soft drink, as a thanks for their efforts in the recent floods.

During the flood crisis across southeast Queensland and Northern NSW, McDonald’s was forced to temporarily close a number of stores across the region after they had a mass shortage of supplies.

At least 13 stores on the Gold Coast were closed; however, McDonald’s have said they are “back open and ready to serve again” and want to say thanks.

“The recent flooding event has disrupted many of our lives, but a group of heroes have worked tirelessly to support families, businesses and communities.”

The offer is available in McDonald’s South East Queensland and Northern NSW restaurants until 25 March exclusively to Emergency and SES workers such as Police, Firefighters, Paramedics and ADF.

Workers just have to make sure they are in uniform or show staff their work ID to redeem the freebie.

The offer is available in drive-thru or front counter and applies to a free medium hot McCafé drink or medium soft drink without purchase.
