A major investigation is underway after two badly decomposed bodies were found tied together in a regional Queensland dam.
A kayaker made the gruesome discovery around 3.30pm on Saturday in the Gordonbrook Dam, 21km north of Kingaroy.
According to Queensland Police, the kayaker found the bodies floating around five metres from the shore of the dam.
“A crime scene has been declared and emergency services assisted with retrieving the bodies this evening,” police said in a statement.
The pair are yet to be identified.
A post mortem will be conducted in the coming days.
