One person in hospital following unit fire on the Gold Coast

A person has been taken to hospital following a unit fire on the Gold Coast last night.

The blaze broke out at a property along Brisbane Road in Labrador around 9.30pm.

Four fire crews along with paramedics and police attended the scene.

One occupant was transported to the Gold Coast University Hospital in a stable condition.

It is not yet known what sparked the inferno.

A QFES spokesperson was unable to confirm the extent of the damage to the property.
