Police are investigating after several tools and equipment were stolen from a Queensland Fire and Emergency Services vehicle at Canungra.

The thieves are believed to have broken into the fire station along Finch Road sometime between Wednesday evening, June 15 to Thursday evening, June 16.

“Initial investigations indicate a group of unknown offenders have gained access to a Finch Road building and have accessed the vehicle inside,” Queensland Police said.

“The group have then removed several tools and equipment, before fleeing the building with those items”.

Police are appealing for anyone who may have any dashcam footage or observed anyone near Finch Road around the time of the incident to come forward.

Investigations are ongoing.
