One of the Gold Coast’s most secluded beaches has recently transformed, with locals offered a unique opportunity to see the beautiful stretch of beach from a new point of view.
Froggies Beach, which lies at the foot of Point Danger on the southern side of Snapper Rocks, is the choice of the experienced locals when the surf is rolling and the water usually dominates the shoreline.
“Dredging of the Tweed coastal bar, which has been underway for the last couple of weeks, and the lack of decent swell has opened up a rare opportunity for people to walk along the recently formed sandy beach from the northern end of Froggies Beach to the southern end,” said Hot Tomato’s surf reporter Reg Prasad.
“Locals can now stand under the sheer rockface that is Point Danger, and get a close-up view of the sand distribution pipe that usually spills sand and water into the ocean.
“If you want a chance to walk along this rare stretch of beach you better hurry because it could disappear just as quickly as it appeared.”
