The Forensic Crash Unit is investigating after a man was killed in a horror crash at Ironpot, north of Rockhampton.
Police say initial investigations suggest a Toyota Hilux was travelling east on Rockhampton Yeppoon Road at around 4.30pm yesterday when it collided with an oncoming truck.
The driver of the ute, a 29-year-old man, suffered critical injuries and sadly could not be revived.
The truck driver, a 41-year-old man, was transported to Rockhampton Base Hospital in a stable condition.
Investigations into the circumstances surrounding the crash are ongoing.
