A man has been rescued from a popular Gold Coast beach following a near-drowning.
Paramedics and lifeguards are treating the man in his 50s, after he was pulled from the surf in Broadbeach.
It happened around 6.30am at the beach off Old Burleigh Road.
A QAS spokesperson says he is suffering neck and back pain.
Critical Care Paramedics remain on the scene assessing him with a transport to hospital expected.
