LATEST @ 4.30PM | A motorbike rider has been killed in a shocking collision in Nerang.
The 39-year-old man was travelling along Hope Street when he collided with a truck.
The Carrara man suffered critical injuries and despite paramedics’ best efforts, he tragically died at the scene.
The driver of the truck, a 44-year-old man, was uninjured.
Any witnesses or anyone with dashcam vision is being urged to contact police.
The Forensic Crash Unit is now investigating.
EARLIER @ 2.00PM | A motorcyclist is fighting for life following a horror collision with a truck in Nerang.
It happened on Hope Street just before 1.30pm this afternoon.
Critical Care Paramedics are on scene treating the patient, whose age and gender is unknown at this stage.
A QAS spokesperson confirmed to myGC that the rider is in a critical condition.
QFES are also on scene.
