A woman has been murdered during a horrific home invasion north of Brisbane.
Police were called to a property in North Lakes around 11.30pm on Monday night after a man and woman disturbed two intruders inside their home.
A brawl broke out onto the front porch of the Whitfield Crescent property, where the 41-year-old woman suffered critical injuries.
Emergency Services attempted to save the woman, however, she sadly died at the scene.
The 43-year-old man was treated for non-life-threatening injuries.
The two offenders fled on foot and remain on the run.
A crime scene has been declared and investigations commenced.
Investigators urge anyone from the Northlakes area with information, dash cam or CCTV footage to contact police.
