Police have charged a man with several offences including armed robbery after a pizza delivery driver had his car stolen in Logan.
The 18-year-old worker was returning to the pizza store in Browns Plain at around 8.30pm Saturday night when he was robbed by an armed man.
The man threatened the driver with a firearm, which later turned out to be a gel-blaster, and stole his car.
The accused left behind a vehicle that had allegedly been stolen earlier during a robbery at Heritage Park.
Polair tracked the stolen car all the way up to Riverview in Ipswich, with police successfully deploying tyre spikes to stop the vehicle just after 9pm.
The vehicle came to a stop soon after on the Logan Motorway at Gailes, where the man was immediately taken down and arrested.
The 21-year-old Browns Plains man has now been charged with five offences including two counts each of armed robbery and unlawful use of a motor vehicle, and one count of enter premises with intent to commit an indicatable offence.
He has been denied police bail and is due to appear in the Beenleigh Magistrates Court on Monday morning.
