Do you want to put your fashion credentials to the test this Raceday?
One of the most highly anticipated social events, Pacific Fair Fashions on the Field is back for the 2023 The Star Gold Coast Magic Millions Raceday, which kicks off this Saturday, 14 January.
Whether you’re an experienced punter, or this year is your maiden start, Fashions on the Field gives you the chance to showcase your unique summer style, and we’ve got your go-to guide for the occasion.
How the competition works:
Once you’ve secured your ticket, trackside fashionistas are encouraged to register their interest on the day before 12pm for the women’s competition, and 12:30pm for the men’s.
Entrants will then get their photo taken all suited-up before they walk the catwalk for completion of the heat.
Top 10 semi-finalists will then be chosen, which will be whittled down to three finalists; a Winner, a Second Place and a Third Place.
How to impress the judges:
Style and originality; current trend interpretation, individual style and attention to detail with accessories, are some of the main judging criteria and hallmarks of past winners.
But it’s not all about the clothes– grooming and “deportment” will also be evaluated. Basically, it’s about how well you carry yourself and the confidence you exude.
What’s up for grabs:
This year, the total prize value is a whopping $8,360 for the women and $8,010 for the men.
Prizes will be awarded to the Winner, First Runner Up, Second Runner Up and remaining Finalists.
Some of the prizes on offer for first place getters include; a money can’t buy experience 2 x Magic Millions VIP tickets to the 2024 The Star Gold Coast Raceday VIP, Pacific Fair gift card to the value of $1500, Frizelle weekend drive experience and a $200 voucher to spend at The Star Gold Coast valued at $1100, The Star Gold Coast Gift Card valued at $300, Hombodii Mixed product hamper, and a Magnum bottle of Whispering Angel.

11.30am Women’s Racewear photographic registration to commence
12.00pm Men’s Racewear registrations & photographic registrations to commence
1.00pm Women’s Racewear finals to commence
1.15pm Women’s Racewear winner announced
1.20pm Men’s Racewear finals to commence
1.35pm Men’s Racewear Winner announced
