Two children remain in hospital fighting for life following Monday’s horrific helicopter crash over the Gold Coast’s Broadwater.

10-year-old Sydney boy Nicholas was critically injured, while his mother Vanessa Tadros was tragically killed in the crash.

While 9-year-old Geelong boy Leon suffered head injuries while on-board with his mother, Winnie de Silva, who is recovering in hospital in a stable condition.

Winnie’s husband Neil de Silva, has told Nine News, they’re extremely concerned about Leon.

“Winnie’s fighting, but her main priority is Leon, the issue is the extensive injuries that he has,”

“He’s laying in bed at the moment, I received two photo’s from my sister this morning who’s with him, and he’s still laying with his eyes closed and not able to talk or communicate at this stage.”

Both boys remain in hospital in the intensive care unit.
