The Therapeutic Goods Administration has recalled ten batches of tablets by popular supplement manufacturer JSHealth Vitamins.

There’s fears the “Detox + Debloat” tablets could cause harm to pregnant or breast-feeding women due to missing warning labels.

“Detox + Debloat tablets contains an extract from Foeniculum vulgare (fennel seeds),” the recall notice said.

“The bottle does not have required pregnancy and children warning statements on the label.

“This medicine should not be taken by women who are pregnant, likely to become pregnant or are breast-feeding or children under 12 years of age”.

The affected batch numbers include B23434, B23441, B23462, B23463, B23485, B211091, B211111, B211161, B211231 and B211341.

The tablets have been sold in pharmacies nationally, and online through the JSHealth Vitamins website from November 2020 and October 2022.

JSHealth said the recall is a “labelling matter” only.

“This is solely a labelling matter based on older stock, not anything to do with the product itself,” the company said in a statement.

“The ingredients are not affected, and the product formulation remains unchanged.

“This only relates to Detox + Debloat. This product label recall does not affect any other JSHealth products.”

Customers are being told to return their affected bottle to the place of purchase to receive a refund.
