A teenage boy has tragically died after his ute collided head-on with two cars on a major Queensland highway.
Police say the 17-year-old was travelling west on the Cunningham Highway at Gladfield around 2.40pm on Sunday, when his vehicle collided with two oncoming vehicles near Gladfield Back Road.
The teen suffered critical injuries in the crash and died at the scene.
The drivers and passengers of the two other vehicles were taken to hospital for treatment of non-life threatening injuries.
Police are appealing for any witnesses or anyone with dashcam footage from the area to come forward.
The Forensic Crash Unit is investigating.
