A motorist has suffered a suspected medical episode on the Gold Coast M1 this afternoon.
Paramedics say they came upon a traffic crash northbound at Ormeau just before 4pm.
The person, whose gender and age are unknown, is in a serious condition, suffering from a “suspected medical episode”.
They’ve been rushed to Gold Coast University Hospital with Critical Care Paramedics on board for transport.
A QAS spokesperson couldn’t confirm how many vehicles had been involved in the crash.
The incident has caused major drama for motorists driving north on the M1.
At the time of writing, traffic is delayed right back to Pacific Pines with traffic through Upper Coomera at a standstill.
