A man remains on the run after fleeing the scene of a nasty accident on the M1 at Yatala last week.
A grey 2021 Renault Master van was reportedly seen driving erratically in the northbound lanes of the motorway on the afternoon of Thursday, October 6.
It later crashed near the off-ramp at Exit 41 at around 4.25pm.
A 33-year-old West End man who was a passenger in the vehicle suffered serious injuries and was taken to the Princess Alexandra Hospital in Brisbane.
However, the driver failed to remain at the scene and left on foot.
Police are now appealing for the driver or anything who may know his identity to come forward.
Investigators are also appealing to motorists who were in the area at the time and who may have dashcam footage of the crash or the moments leading up to it.
