A man has been fined after allegedly threatening to ram his car through the front doors of the Gold Coast University Hospital.
It’s understood the man made the threat to security at the hospital around 1.00am this morning.
Acting Superintendent Scott Knowles told the ABC that despite the confrontation, the incident did not escalate beyond threats.
“While the vehicle didn’t attempt to ram them, they certainly behaved in a manner that was very concerning,” he said.
The 33-year-old man fled the scene before police arrived, but was tracked down at a home in Molendinar shortly after.
He was arrested and has since been fined for public nuisance.
