A man has died after a horror crash in Mudgeeraba.
A Toyota Yaris was travelling east on Somerset Drive at around 9.15pm on Saturday night when it left the road and crashed into a tree.
An 18-year-old Mudgeeraba man who was behind the wheel of the car died at the scene.
A 17-year-old boy who was a passenger in the vehicle, was taken to the Gold Coast University Hospital in a stable condition.
Another 17-year-old boy escaped injury.
The Forensic Crash Unit is investigating the accident.
Police are urging any witnesses or anyone with dashcam or CCTV footage to contact them.
