Residents of a Gold Coast home have been left startled after a naked driver ploughed his car through their brick fence before landing in their swimming pool.

A red Holden Commodore lost control while travelling along Racecourse Drive in Bundall around 11.45am on Friday.

It crashed through the brick fence of a home before the vehicle ended up partially in the swimming pool.

The driver, a man aged in his 20s, managed to escape with minor injuries.

He was treated at the scene by paramedics before being taken to the Gold Coast University Hospital in a stable condition.

A Queensland Police spokesperson confirmed to myGC that investigations into the circumstances surrounding the crash are underway.

“We are looking into what caused the driver to lose control and crash,” the spokesperson said.
