Energex to probe cause of Tallebudgera outage with drones

Energex is warning residents in Talledbudgera and Talledbudgera Valley not to be alarmed if they see a number of drones flying over the area today.

The electricity provider is sending the drones up to try and get to the bottom of an ongoing power outage in the area.

An Energex spokesperson told myGC it has been affecting the area for the past few days, with over 120 customers currently impacted.

Energex has apologised to residents for the inconvenience, declaring they’re working hard to have the issue resolved as quickly as possible.

Emergency repairs are also underway in Springbrook at the moment, with more than 420 properties currently without power.
