Eight people, including six juveniles, have been arrested after they were spotted in an allegedly stolen car on the northern Gold Coast.

An off-duty Police officer first spotted the Toyota Aurion in Coomera just after 9.45pm on Tuesday night.

Officers later deployed tyre spikes on Heathwood Drive at Oxenford, successfully deflating the vehicle’s tyres.

However, the car continued before eventually coming to a stop near the Coomera boat ramp.

Three males and five females were arrested.

An 18-year-old Burleigh Waters man, 18-year-old Coopers Plains man, 15-year-old Merrimac boy, 15-year-old Pimpama girl, 16-year-old Parkwood girl, 15-year-old Upper Coomera girl, 14-year-old Parkwood girl, 16-year-old Arundel girl have all been charged with unlawful use of a motor vehicle.

Police say the Toyota was stolen during a robbery at a home on Bella Avenue at Robina just after midnight on Tuesday.
