Two Gold Coast residents have become overnight multi-millionaires after each taking out massive Gold Lotto wins.

A young Coomera man and a Helensvale retiree have each won a whopping $2.1 million dollars.

The duo, who are not known to each other, both held two of the 14 division one winning entries in Saturday’s Gold Lotto draw.

The Coomera man in his 20s has already begun shopping for his family’s first dream home.

“I don’t even know what’s going through my head right now,” he says.

“I can buy a house. This will be the first home for my family. I don’t have to worry about a home loan!

“I have already started looking online.”

He says he has been playing Lotto regularly for the past two years.

Meanwhile, the Helensvale retiree has had “an absolute pleasure shock” by the news, saying he and his wife plan to move closer to their children.

“It doesn’t feel real. We’re both retired and we wanted to move to live closer to our children but couldn’t afford it. Now we can.”

The lucky man didn’t believe the news when he received the call from The Lott on Sunday morning.

“You’re joking!”

“I’ve got to sit down. Wow! The heart’s going a bit funny at the moment.”

He says he’s played the numbers for quite some time and is glad he kept using them.

The winning tickets were purchased at Pacific Pines Newsagency and online, respectively.
